Trump threatens Elon Musk with «serious consequences»

Donald Trump issued a warning to Elon Musk in an interview with NBC News, saying the billionaire would suffer his wrath if he decided to fund Democratic candidates opposed to Trump’s Republican choice.

The rift between the two men, marked by Musk’s switch from ally to adversary, was as intense as it was public.

According to NBC News, the president made it clear that he had no intention of renewing ties with Musk, and that if Musk sought political revenge, he would suffer the consequences, “if he does that” – support the Democrats in an election.

Trump also claimed that Musk had been “disrespectful to the office of the President”.

Musk notably made an accusation, suggesting that the classified documents on Jeffrey Epstein had not been released because they mentioned Donald Trump’s name.

Musk also criticized Trump for his ingratitude, claiming in a now-deleted message on X that, without him, and his millions invested to support his campaign, “Trump would have lost the election”.

Although Musk calmed his critics on his social network X by deleting the majority of his virulent attacks against Trump, he still left online a poll asking his subscribers whether it was time to create a new political party in the USA. In the face of Trump’s stern warnings, this gesture seems to have been seen as a message that the former president is taking very seriously.
