Florida woman picks up Too Good To Go bag from Eataly. She spends $8—and can’t believe it: ‘Bag is kinda light’

Snagging a decent Too Good To Go bag is a matter of luck. For a fraction of the price, you can end up scoring abundant amounts of food that cater to your taste buds. However, expectations can fall flat, as this Florida woman's Eataly bag did.

“We're at Eataly to pick up our Too Good To Go bag,” TikToker Lynn (@mamilynnnn) says, approaching a large, Italian-style building. “I can't wait to see what we got. It's so pretty here. It's such a vibe.”

After stepping off the escalator, she gives a tour of the Italian marketplace: Endless wine shelves, plentiful homemade pastas, cases of various cheeses, and fresh-cut meats.

“So, we got a mixed grocery bag. I have no idea what to expect from this bag,” she says. “I've seen so many different videos for Eataly, so we'll see.”

The Eataly Haul

When the content creator receives her bag, a red flag immediately starts waving.

“I don't know, chat. This bag is kinda light and is feeling kind of scarce,” Lynn says, holding up a large, brown paper to-go bag. “And I kind of peeked in the bag and I'm not pleased.”

Once she's home, she starts unbagging her items one by one to more than 635,000 viewers. First, she pulls out a plastic container of eggplant parmesan.

“$12.99, OK. Already beat the cash value that I paid,” she remarks, placing it on the counter.

Next, she fishes out a round plastic container of spinach pesto ricotta pasta that was originally $8.99 and, lastly, a bag of tarallini with cheese and pepper. Price-wise, she hit the jackpot, but it still doesn't soothe the disappointment.

As a result, this will be her last order. “I won't be ordering Too Good To Go bags anymore cause this is a letdown,” Lynn says. “I think it's just Miami cause I'm close to Adventura. Miami customer service is terrible.”

On the flip side, the content creator intends to make the most of what she has. “So, I'm not surprised I only got three things in this bag. We'll enjoy whatever we can out of this,” she concludes.

What's Usually In An Eataly Too Good To Go Bag?

Upon searching the location Lynn visited, the mixed grocery bag can contain various random foods. According to their website, this includes “bread, pastries, dairy, produce, sauces, and prepared meals. On some occasions, meat/seafood could be included in the bag. Contents may include gluten, wheat, and/or nuts.”

Viewers Are Split

Lynn's video ignited a heated debate in the comments section. Critics believed her reaction was the problem.

“That's how Too Good works. It's not a meal, they give u their scraps,” one viewer commented.

“What did you want? Groceries for a week? That's two meals and a snack,” a second criticized.

“Ummm that actually looks yum ! I would be pretty happy with that for $8 !” a third remarked.

On the other hand, some resonated with her experience where they've had underwhelming items.

“That bag sucked. I would've reported it to Too Good [To] Go. I don't use it anymore either cause I've never had anything super amazing either,” one commenter stated.

Another said, “I made this mistake once. I basically paid them to take out their trash.”

“Once I got an entire raw chicken that was going to expire the same day lol and 2 rotten cucumbers,” a third recalled.
