Alec Baldwin announces his return to work

Alec Baldwin will return to work for the first time since the tragedy of the film Rust that occurred last year.

The actor will take to the Broadway stage next spring in the musical Art by Yasmina Reza at the Shubert Theatre in New York.

For his return to the stage, Baldwin will be surrounded by some big names, says the New York Post, which first got wind of the news. Tony Shalhoub (The Band’s Visit) and John Leguizamo (Latin History for Morons) will join him on stage.

Despitehis frequent claims of innocence, Alec Baldwin is surely relieved that the New Mexico Medical Examiner’s Office concluded this month that the shooting was an accident.

Prosecutors, however, have not yet determined whether charges should be filed against the actor. Numerous civil lawsuits have been filed against the actor, however. One of these lawsuits is filed by the family of the victim Halyna Hutchins.
