In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, when Affleck was asked if he cared about the thousands of comments made about him following the sharing of this video (which was then turned into several memes, we must remind you!), the actor said that nothing is what it seems at first glance.

“No! I had a great time at the Grammys! My wife was going, and I thought, ‘ Well, there’s going to be some good music. It might be fun,” he corrected before explaining why his attitude didn’t seem very positive.

I leaned over to her (Lopez) and said, ‘ As soon as they start shooting, I’m going to walk away from you and leave you next to Trevor to which she said, ‘ You better not leave!” clarified Affleck, lifting the veil on the famous moment captured at the Grammys.

“It’s a husband and wife thing!” he added.
