Clash of the titans at the MTV Movie & TV Awards 2023

It’s no surprise that Top Gun: Maverick, The Last of Us, Stranger Things, The White Lotus and Wednesday are topping the nominations for this year’s MTV Movie & TV Awards as the gala is hosted by actress and now talk show host Drew Barrymore!

Scream VI, Top Gun, Avatar, Elvis, Black Panther, Nope and Smile share the Best Picture nominations…

…while Wednesday, The White Lotus, Stranger Things, Yellowstone, The Last of Us, Wolf Pack and Yellowjackets are nominated for Best Series!

The categories are sure to offer some great fights and surprises this year, as they are now mostly gender neutral.

Florence Pugh (Don’t Worry Darling) and Keke Palmer(Nope) will face Austin Butler(Elvis), Tom Cruise(Top Gun: Maverick) and Michael B. Jordan(Creed III) in the Best Performance in a Motion Picture category.

Jenna Ortega(Wednesday), Aubrey Plaza(The White Lotus) and Selena Gomez(Only Murders in the Building) are among those nominated for Best Performance in a Series.

Jennifer Coolidge (Shotgun Wedding) and Adam Sandler (Murder Mystery 2) are certainly the favorites for Best Performance in a Comedy.

And may the best man win between Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Doja Cat and OneRepublic, who share the nominations for Best Song!
