Could Melania Trump be behind Donald Trump’s change of tone regarding the war in Ukraine?

In his own words, it’s possible: as he told reporters of conversations with his wife in which he proudly claimed to have had a “wonderful conversation” with Vladimir Putin, Melania was quick to remind him that, meanwhile, the Russian president had just bombed another Ukrainian city.

The President’s surprising statement was made at the White House, in the presence of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

He announced the resumption of arms shipments to Ukraine and gave Russia a 50-day ultimatum to conclude a peace agreement, or face US sanctions.

To justify his change of heart, Trump referred to his past exchanges with Vladimir Putin, noting that every times he thinks a conversation is going somewhere, the Russian president turns around and bombs Ukraine again.

Trump’s anecdote and Melania’s reaction did not escape attention in Ukraine, where the US First Lady was quickly hailed on Ukrainian social networks! Some even dubbed her “Agent Melania”.
