Epstein: Trump’s ex-lawyer to meet Ghislaine Maxwell in prison

After several days of turbulence linked to the controversy surrounding Attorney General Pam Bondi’s surprise announcement of the closure of the Jeffrey Epstein files, a decision that provoked strong reactions, including within Donald Trump’s own electoral base, Bondi tried to regain control of the situation.

As speculation mounts over the number of times the president’s name appears in the files of Jeffrey Epstein, accused pedocriminal and former close associate of Donald Trump, Pam Bondi has gone on the offensive.

Bondi announced that it had appointed its assistant attorney general, Todd Blanche, who is also Trump’s lawyer in the Stormy Daniels trial, to visit and meet Epstein’s co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell, in prison.

“President Trump has told us to release all credible evidence. If Ghislaine Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and the DOJ will hear what she has to say,” said Todd Blanche, ABC News report.

This move is drawing fierce criticism, with many pointing to a major conflict of interest, since prior to his appointment as Assistant Attorney General, Blanche was Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, as some even believe Maxwell could hold potentially incriminating information about him in this case.

Since Jeffrey Epstein’s death in prison in 2019, Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted in this case in 2021 and sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment.

As the controversy swelled, rumors circulated that Donald Trump had considered, during his first term or would again wish to grant her a presidential pardon, especially since, during her trial, he admitted to knowing Maxwell well and publicly wished her well: “I just wish her well, frankly. I’ve met her numerous times over the years…”, he said at the time.
