Escaped murderer found after days on the run
The capture of Danilo Cavalcante, a dangerous murderer who had been on the run for several days from a Pennsylvania prison, comes as he was actively sought by nearly a hundred members of law enforcement.

During his spectacular escape on August 31, he scaled two walls to escape through the prison roof, in a spectacular escape certainly worthy of a Hollywood movie.

The murderer was found thanks to the search plane, which reportedly picked up a thermal signal in the woods where the search was taking place at around 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday night.

Thunderstorms, however, would have postponed the search until the following morning, when the murderer would have been completely surprised, surrounded by a tactical team near the spot where the thermal signal had first been picked up the previous night.

In 2021, Danilo Cavalcante was convicted of murdering his ex-girlfriend in a brutal attack.

The victim’s family is also said to be relieved that Cavalcante has been captured, as they had been living in anguish since his escape.

According to CNN, the murderer, originally from Brazil, is also wanted in a homicide case that took place before his arrival in the United States.
