Eva Longoria supports Serena Williams’ comments
Serena Williams announced that she wanted to leave the world of tennis recently in order to fulfill her wish to expand and take care of her family, mentioning that she would not have to do so if she were a man.

The best female tennis player of all time surprised some people when she told Vogue magazine that the clock was ticking and that she would retire after the U.S. Open.

Following this announcement, many voices were lined up behind her to denounce the lack of equity in terms of family responsibilities and the impact of these on women’s professional lives, including her good friend Eva Longoria, who agrees with Serena’s position, choice and words.

“If I were a man, I wouldn’t be writing this (…),” she pointed out to People.

“She’s absolutely right (…) she wouldn’t have to take years off. Years off to heal from a C-section,” Eva Longoria said.

The famous former Desperate Housewives star concluded her speech by mentioning that women think more about everything… except themselves!

“Mothers carry the weight of so much responsibility – not just for ourselves, for our children, for our mothers (…) we are mothers, we help the community, we help our co-workers, and so many other things (…) Being a mom (…) it usually means you think (…) outside of yourself. And that includes the planet,” Longoria concludes.
