Former NHL player dies at 29
The Anaheim Ducks have announced the passing of former player Nic Kerdiles. He died in a motorcycle crash in Nashville, according to authorities. He was a 2012 second-round pick of the Ducks and made history as the first player from Orange County to make the team. He also played for the San Diego Gulls and the Manitoba Moose in a career that went on for a decade. Nic Kerdiles was 29.
