Getting ready for the Golden Globes (yes, it’s tonight)!
Hollywood stars are gearing up for an evening of celebration at the Golden Globe Awards, to be presented this Sunday on CBS. The ceremony will honor outstanding achievements in film and television.

This year, the film Barbie is the evening’s hottest contender. Directed by Greta Gerwig, it received nine nominations.

Warner Bros.
Historical drama Oppenheimer follows close behind with eight nominations.

It is the favorite to win Best Dramatic Film.

Universal Pictures

On the TV front, HBO’s Succession is one to watch, with nine nominations!

HBO
Oprah Winfrey, Amanda Seyfried, Will Ferrell, Florence Pugh and many others will take part in the ceremony, hosted by Jo Koy.

Several changes will be offered at this year’s ceremony, as the Golden Globes jury has expanded in recent years from 80 to 300 journalists. The Cecil B. DeMille Award and the Carol Burnett Award will not be presented this year.

Most importantly, this year’s Golden Globes will inaugurate two new award categories: Best Achievement in Motion Picture and Box-Office, and Best Stand-Up Performance.
