‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘Euphoria’ Star Dead at 53

Eric Dane, American actor best known for his charismatic screen presence and versatility across television and film, has died. He rose to widespread fame portraying Dr. Mark “McSteamy” Sloan on the hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, a role that made him a fan favorite and pop culture figure. 

Before that, he appeared in series such as Charmed, and later starred in TNT’s The Last Ship. In recent years, Dane gained renewed acclaim for his intense performance as Cal Jacobs on HBO’s Euphoria. 

With a career spanning decades, he has remained a steady presence in Hollywood.

He recently announced he was diagnosed with ALS. 

He was 53 years old.
