In remission from cancer, Jeff Bridges has come a long way

Jeff Bridges, diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma three years ago, has made a remarkable recovery after facing very serious health problems, most notably a serious case of COVID-19 while battling his cancer, putting his life in serious danger in 2021.

According to Page Six, reported by People, Bridges, 74, says he has been transformed by the experience, which he describes as a true encounter with death. Reflecting on the subject, he expressed surprise at how the mind is able to forget it all with resilience, and is now looking to the future.

While chemotherapy had robbed him of his immune defenses, he claims to have come close to death in 2021 as he struggled additionally to overcome a COVID-19 infection, which he described as a strange dream.

The actor, honored at the 49th Chaplin Awards in New York on April 29, 2024, overcame this difficult ordeal. Bridges is now back at work, more motivated than ever, confirming his return in the next film in the Tron saga, scheduled for release in 2025!
