There are persistent rumors that British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson could play the role of the world’s most renowned secret agent. According to sources close to the production, he is considered the ideal choice for the iconic role of 007.

According to speculation, first reported by The Sun, then TIME, Taylor-Johnson has received an offer for this highly sought-after role, which he is said to be on the verge of accepting. Filming on this new Bond adventure is due to start this year, and at 33, the actor could be the face of the franchise for years to come, if these rumors prove true.

The actor was competing with other talented actors such as Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer) and James Norton (Bob Marley: One Love) for the role, and if confirmed, will replace Daniel Craig, who has played James Bond for over 15 years, with performances in 2006’s Casino Royale and 2021’s No Time To Die.
