The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby places the St Edward’s Crown onto the head of Britain’s King Charles III during the Coronation Ceremony inside Westminster Abbey in central London. Camilla, his second wife, will be crowned queen alongside him and be known as Queen Camilla after the ceremony. Charles became King in September 2022 when his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, died at 96. She was the longest-reigning monarch in British history.
