It’s election day in the USA (and the suspense is at its height)

The two candidates, with their completely opposite visions of America, retreated to either side after a particularly intense campaign blitz for each of them.

After concentrating all her efforts on this historic campaign, Vice President Kamala Harris will be following the results with friends and family in Washington D.C.

While the last week of the campaign was difficult for Trump, he chose to retreat to Mar-a-Lago in Florida to await the results. There, he voted on the morning of November 5, in the company of Melania Trump, who had been largely absent throughout this election campaign.

Kamala Harris ended her final campaign night on a high note, with several simultaneous rallies in different cities, attracting large crowds. In Las Vegas, Nevada, singer Christina Aguilera performed “Feel This Moment”, “Beautiful” and “Fighter.

While in Detroit, Jon Bon Jovi joined Tim Walz’s rally, where he sang “The People’s House” and “Livin’ on a Prayer”.

Katy Perry was in Pittsburgh, where she performed her songs “Dark Horse”, “Part of Me” and “Firework”, after Kamala Harris’s speech. The latter then flew to the main rally in Philadelphia, where several celebrities were present, including Oprah and rapper Fat Joe, who spoke.

Ricky Martin performed several of his songs, including “Livin’ la Vida Loca”. Lady Gaga sang “God Bless America” before closing the evening with “Edge of Glory”.

Donald Trump had a particularly tumultuous end to his campaign, concluding his run for the presidency amid controversy, particularly after his rally at Madison Square Garden.

Struggling to fill his latest rallies in several key states, he seemed to lack energy on stage and sometimes lost patience with technical problems, such as difficulties with microphones, causing him to adopt rather erratic gestures.

The last night of his campaign in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, ended on a high note with Megyn Kelly, who explained that his positions on immigration and transgender rights were reasons to vote for Trump, whom she saw as a defender of women.

So, what can we expect in the coming days? The authorities are on high alert for any event that could disrupt the voting sites, although at the time of writing everything is going relatively smoothly. However, many fear that the vote count could be disrupted.

Donald Trump continues to repeat that if he loses, it will be because of electoral fraud, while his campaign worries about the turnout of his supporters. Many fear Trump will declare victory before all the votes are counted.
