Justin Trudeau opens up on his split with Sophie Grégoire: “The priority is always the children”
Be InteractiveIn an interview with TVA, Justin Trudeau opened up about his recent separation from Sophie Grégoire, and the current state of his love life.
“It’s not easy,” says the Prime Minister.
“I can guess the pain when it’s in public,” adds Paul Larocque, the journalist interviewing Justin Trudeau.
“Listen, the priority is always the children, that’s what we’re doing. We’re still friends (…)” replies Trudeau.
“Is that really true?” Larocque then asked.
“Yes, yes, it’s true! We’re even going on vacation together after Christmas. We’re all going away as a family, so we’ll see how it goes. But I think it’s going to be fine. The priority has to be the children, and if we can continue to be partners as parents, that’s good for everyone,” adds the Prime Minister.
“I have a very, very full life now. It’s not really something I think about very much! Between the kids, the job, then everything else that’s happening… I’ve got a very full life now,” Trudeau then repeats, clearly keen to keep some of his private life… private.
