NHL: A look at the Tkachuk family

The Tkachuk family is one of the most prolific in hockey. Keith and his sons Matthew and Brady have been a staple of the game.

Keith played 18 seasons in the National Hockey League. He played in Winnipeg, Phoenix, St. Louis and Atlanta.

In 1201 games, the player had impressive totals: 1065 points, and 2219 penalty minutes!

In order, the three Tkachuk children, Taryn, Brady and Matthew.

Meet Taryn, the sister of the infernal duo!

Matthew is currently 24 years old and plays for the Calgary Flames.

In 2021-2022, Matthew Tkachuk impresses. He has surpassed the 100 point mark. His best season to date was 77 points.

A 1st round pick, 6th overall in 2016, big things were expected of him. Today, he is more than fulfilling those expectations.

With the Flames, he is very well supported by a powerful team. He is playing with Johnny Gaudreau and Elias Lindholm.

Matthew Tkachuk will go to the bank this summer. His contract is expiring and he was making an average of $7M per season.

Brady will not have to live this. He signed a 7-year, $57.5 million contract with the Ottawa Senators last fall.

The Senators gave him such a deal despite his young age. Selected 4th overall in 2018, he is now only 22 years old.

The Sens were convinced by the first three seasons of the young Tkachuk, during which he amassed 125 points in 198 games.

Not to mention the fact that he annoyed almost every player in the National Hockey League because of his efficient style of play!

Let's just say that this young Tkachuk doesn't mind rubbing his opponents' ears too much!

The trademark of this prolific family is to play a physical game.

Brady is also racking up the penalty minutes as well as the points.

And so did Dad! Keith accumulated over 200 penalty minutes in three seasons, and 100 in 11 campaigns.

Taryn Tkachuk is a field hockey player for the Virginia Cavaliers, she also turns heads wherever she goes.

Clearly, Keith and Chantal Tkachuk did something right when they guided their children into sports!
