In his view, the joint military exercises by the United States and South Korea are “a clear manifestation of their desire to start a war”, reported Pyongyang’s official news agency, KCNA.

“The current situation requires a radical and rapid change in existing military theory and practice, as well as a rapid expansion of nuclearization,” said the leader of atomic-armed North Korea.
