You’d never find me trying to test the unseen and unknown in a so-called haunted mansion. I’m curious, sure, but I’m also perfectly good just letting ghosts enjoy their privacy while I enjoy mine! But the Winchester Mystery House certainly caught my attention. It had 160 rooms, staircases that seemed to go nowhere, a supposed séance room, and decades of stories claiming its owner kept building because spirits told her to. Except the more I learned about the woman behind it, Sarah Winchester, the less supernatural her story became, the more interesting it got. Here’s the story behind it.
