Trump: Netanyahu is a “war hero” and “I am too”

In an interview with conservative host Mark Levin, Donald Trump heaped praise on Benjamin Netanyahu before declaring himself a “war hero”.

Many observers were dismayed by these remarks.

Trump spared no praise for Netanyahu, calling him a “good man” and praising his role in bombing Iran’s nuclear sites.

But his comments about the Israeli prime minister quickly took a strange, even uncomfortable turn, according to an article from the New York Times.

Referring to the Israeli bombing of Iranian nuclear sites, Trump presented Netanyahu as “a war hero”, stressing that these operations had been carried out jointly: “because we work together”.

In the process, he went so far as to call himself a “war hero”!

“He’s a war hero […] I guess I am too,” concludes the American president.
