A multibillion-dollar consequence of the Supreme Court’s rejection of Trump’s tariff strategy is now showing up on corporate balance sheets. As the government returns duties collected under the overturned measures, one of America’s largest retailers has emerged as the biggest publicly reported beneficiary. The enormous reimbursement comes as Walmart faces a very different challenge at its stores, where increasingly cautious consumers are showing signs of financial pressure.
