I can still vividly remember how the world looked and sounded like a big theme park when I was a kid, with specific smells, colors, and, well, sounds. The jingle of an ice cream cart coming down the street, the screech of dial-up internet, the click of computer keyboards, and even the very specific sound our old TV made when it switched on are permanently lodged somewhere in my brain. Imagine waking up to someone shooting peas at your window, hearing your milk arrive by horse-drawn cart, or shopping while cash literally whooshed through tubes above your head!
