Alec Baldwin settles with the family of Halyna Hutchins

...have reached an agreement on an amount in the lawsuit against the 64-year-old actor, producers and other cast members.

With this agreement, the filming of the movie can resume (in 2023).

Matthew Hutchins, the late Halyna's spouse, will become the film's executive producer.

Here's what Hutchins said on the subject:

"We have reached a settlement, subject to court approval, for our wrongful death case against the producers of Rust"

"As part of this agreement, our case will be closed."

"Filming on Rust, which I will now serve as executive producer, will resume with all of the original cast in January 2023."

Director Joel Souza, meanwhile, will reprise his role as well, as he was injured during the sad tragedy.

Rust's "ending" will honor Halyna's legacy, she who would certainly be proud of this turn of events, according to Souza.
