The press freedom group Reporters Without Borders is urging Apple to remove its newly introduced artificial intelligence feature that summarizes news stories after it produced a false headline from the BBC.
The false information behind Reporters Without Borders’ request dates back to last week.
Apple’s artificial intelligence had produced and distributed a notification erroneously summarizing a BBC report, claiming that Luigi Mangione, a suspect in the murder of the CEO of UnitedHealthcare in New York, had committed suicide with a firearm.
