Divorce for Alexis Bledel after eight years of marriage

The couple secretly got married in 2014 after meeting on the set of Mad Men.

Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser decided to end their relationship after eight years of marriage.

Kartheiser filed for divorce from the star of Gilmore Girls in August, in Putnam County Supreme Court in New York, Us Weekly reported.

The couple married quietly in 2014, a year after Kartheiser proposed. The two actors first met on the set of Mad Men in which their characters had an onscreen romance, but they waited until after filming before pursuing a real romance.

Following their engagement, Kartheiser had mentioned to Us Weekly:

“I’m a very lucky man.”

The couple got married in a small private ceremony in Ojai, California.

Bledel later revealed to Nylon that she was planning her own nuptials at the same time she was filming Jenny’s Wedding.
