Halsey reveals her fight against leukemia and lupus

Singer Halsey announced some terrible news about her health in an emotional message posted on social networks on Tuesday. She said she was “lucky to be alive” as she announced her single, the song The End, the very first single from her highly anticipated fifth studio album.

In a post on Instagram, the artist wrote in the caption:

“Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive. Short story long, I wrote an album“, the carousel of videos accompanying her publication shows the singer visibly weakened by illness.

The star is said to be suffering from leukemia and lupus.

Halsey did not detail her diagnosis, but by mentioning the Lupus Research Alliance and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in her tags, she implies that she is facing serious health problems.

Halsey’s battle with the disease is partially documented in a series of videos that offer fans a glimpse into her ordeals and hospital stays.

The 29-year-old star says she feels old , and explains that she gives herself the right to be ill for two years, but wants to be reborn in her early thirties.

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can damage various parts of the body, and leukemia and lymphoma are cancers that affect blood cells and the immune system.

No release date has yet been announced for her new album.
