Litmus has announced that it has acquired singer Katy Perry’s music catalog for a whopping US$225 million.

The sale includes masters of the star’s five albums released between 2008 and 2020.
With this spectacular transaction, Katy Perry joins a wave of major artist music catalog deals completed over the past two years, including Justin Bieber’s catalog ($200 million), Dr. Dre’s catalog ($200 million) and Phil Collins’ catalog for ($300 million).
Perry’s meteoric rise to superstardom began with his debut album, One of the Boys, released in 2008. The album included the hits I Kissed a Girl and Hot n Cold.
