Scheduled to open in 2025, the Universal Epic Universe park will offer visitors five fascinating new worlds to explore and discover. Among them, at the back of the park, will be The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, offering a whole new way to immerse yourself in the captivating tales of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. Not only will you be able to wander through the Ministry of Magic, but you’ll also be able to visit Place Cachée, where the witches and wizards of Paris reside.
Magic elevator
Visitors travel through the British Ministry of Magic aboard a magical elevator that moves in all directions.
Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry
As visitors make their way through the Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry queue, they’ll pass through a majestic atrium, decorated with gigantic banners announcing the trial of the notorious and feared Dolores Umbridge.
Hidden Place
The new attraction will be an immersive entry into the Parisian streets of 1920s wizards like Newt Scamander.
From the moment they arrive, visitors will be transported to a new place and a fascinating era. Passing under the Phoenix Arch, they enter Place Cachée, a 1920s Parisian district reserved for witches and wizards. Here, they’ll discover lively cobblestone streets lined with charming boutiques and cafés, all sublimated by colorful banners announcing the mysterious Cirque Arcanus, an invitation to wonder that promises an unforgettable experience.
Fantastic Beasts
Kim Gritzer, Universal’s Creative Director, explained that she and her team love the Fantastic Beasts films, as they offer a broader perspective on the wizarding universe. It also gives them a unique opportunity to enrich that universe and develop it further for fans to enjoy.
Le Café L'Air de la Sirène
Le Café L’Air de la Sirène, one of the most refined establishments, will offer elegant French cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Architectural jewel
Its interior will be an architectural jewel, decorated with finely carved marble and Art mosaics. Even the carefully designed ceiling will feature flora and fauna motifs from the wizarding world.
A concern for realism
“Whenever things are represented on stage, whether it’s a show or some kind of animal encounter, we want to make sure that the technology isn’t visible and that guests simply believe it’s there… whether it’s in the media, or physically, or any combination of the two,” explained associate producer Cara Pfost Brown.
Arcanus Circus
Fans of the franchise will recognize some familiar faces: a Demiguise, Zouwu, Kelpie, Mooncalves and even Scamander himself are all scheduled to appear. But audiences will also be seduced by a new character: the protagonist Gwenlyn, a cracmole and Skender’s assistant.
"When we dream..."
For the first time, it will be possible to interact with various talking portraits and receive truly personalized responses. Audiences will also have the opportunity to cast spells through new interactive experiences. “When we dream, we enter a world that belongs to us alone.”
