The roles of Eric Draven, played by Skarsgard, and Shelly, played by FKA Twigs, tell of a tragic love story that was originally brought to the screen in 1994 with actor Brandon Lee. Sadly, Lee tragically lost his life in a filming accident, bringing an aura of mystery to this new production and perhaps explaining fans’ protective preoccupation with Skarsgard’s interpretation.
