Nintendo confirms the Switch 2 and here’s what we know

After months of intense rumors, Nintendo has finally confirmed the arrival of its highly anticipated new gaming console, the Nintendo Switch 2.

The announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 has set the Internet on fire, with a teaser video revealing a console that is slightly larger than the previous one.

Mario Kart is at the heart of the presentation, suggesting that it could be the flagship launch game or offered in a bundle with the console. Nintendo has also confirmed that the vast majority of original Switch games, whether physical or digital, will be compatible with the Switch 2.

Although Nintendo has not yet revealed an official release date, it has been specified that the console will be available in 2025.

However, the major unveiling of the console will take place during a live Nintendo Direct on April 2, where all details will be revealed, likely including the launch date and price.

Nintendo has also announced a series of global events, the “Nintendo Switch 2 Experience”, allowing fans to discover the console. These events will be held in several major cities according to the following schedule:
