The big city of New York isn’t exactly safe… even in broad daylight.

According to the New York Post, 66-year-old actor Steve Buscemi was attacked in broad daylight in Manhattan.

Following the attack, the assailant fled the scene, but his whereabouts remain unknown. The attacker is believed to be a man with a beard, wearing a baseball cap, a blue sweater and black pants.

The Boardwalk Empire actor eventually escaped with swelling to his face and left eye. He was taken to hospital for treatment and to check his general condition.

According to the same source, this actor would be the second from the Boardwalk Empire series to have been attacked for no reason in the streets of New York in 2024, as actor Michael Stuhbarg was allegedly rocked in the back of the neck while running!

Steve Buscemi is a beloved figure among NewYorkers… he’s a former FDNY firefighter!
